Partnerships; Broadcast Firm Adds Key Internet Alliances

Business Editors/Interactive & Multimedia Writers

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1999--Target Video News (TVN), a
leading provider of broadcast and webcast services to major corporations,
associations and communications agencies, today announced new strategic
alliances that will distribute TVN's corporate video news segments across
new Internet channels to millions of additional viewers on the World Wide
Web.
Effective mid-October 1999, TVN's video news releases, press conferences and
corporate multimedia presentations will be directly available to the
business and professional audiences of Powerize.com, a leading news,
information and business research portal.
With content from more than 10,000 prestigious sources worldwide,
Powerize.com believes it is the largest single source of business and
financial content on the Internet - including more than 32 million news
stories, company profiles, market analyses, research reports and other
documents.
TVN specializes in the production and distribution of utilizable business
news footage to television and cable networks worldwide, especially in
healthcare, high technology and consumer product subjects. TVN is the first
business video news provider to establish direct links to Powerize.com's
premium audience.
"Powerize.com is a sophisticated tool for business decision-makers, an
extremely effective portal site," said Steve Gold, president and executive
producer of TVN. "Powerize.com's unique mix of thousands of trade journals,
business publications, research papers, newspaper and newswire stories make
it a compelling platform for TVN's video news releases."
"TVN produces very high quality video news segments in key industries," said
Michael Gallagher, a spokesman for Powerize.com. "From a strategic point of
view, we want to offer our subscribers and viewers breaking news from these
industries. The relationship with TVN helps us do that."
TVN also disclosed today that it has entered into an agreement with
FasTV.com, the Internet's first searchable video destination for consumers,
business and media. The site features video news from other leading brands
such as CNN, CNNfn and Bloomberg Television.
Brian Unger, director of business and internet strategy at TVN, said the
partnership means that TVN's newsfeeds are searchable by keyword at
www.FasTV.com <http://www.FasTV.com>, allowing users to view the stories
on-demand.
"TVN is a pioneer in delivering corporate video news direct to consumers and
professionals," said Steve Gold, "and we're continuing to develop new
distribution channels and bigger audiences all the time."
Additionally, TVN and EastBay Technologies, Inc., Pleasanton, Calif.,
announced today that TVN would be the first video news release service to
provide a global search capability for its content across the World Wide Web
with EastBay's MediaGrab! software. TVN's videos will also be indexed by
subject in EastBay's proprietary multimedia database of over 1,000,000 audio
and video files.
MediaGrab! enables end users to find previously recorded news, music, sports
events, audio books and other items, and lets them download the files to
view or hear at their own leisure.
"We'll update our content files regularly to make all of TVN's video news
clips searchable," declared Craig J. Stadler, president of EastBay.
"Thousands of consumers utilize MediaGrab! to search for news and
information, research or entertainment related audio and video on the Net,"
added Stadler. "We're delivering more audience to TVN, and TVN is bringing
valuable content for our end users."
