CentiSpede- Building the Internet's Largest Online Media Database

CentiSpede is an advanced crawler that accesses up to 50 web pages a second, crawls FTP sites, and indexes Usenet News content. East Bay Technologies currently runs multiple copies of CentiSpede on a cluster of Intel based PCs. Media collected from CentiSpede (images, video, audio, documents, and broadcasts) is processed and verified before being added to the East Bay Technologies Media Database.

CentiSpede continually updates the database with new media and re-verifies older media, making it the largest and most up-to-date online media database available to consumers. Internet users can access this database by using one of three software products: CTube!, MediaGrab!, and LiveWire! Broadcast.
